PARKING DURING AFTER SCHOOL PICK-UP & SCHOOL EVENTS:  A reminder to parents and guardians that when picking up your child(ren) after school or attending school events, that there is NO parking on Central Saanich Road directly across from the school.  Although there are no white barriers, it is a sidewalk and it poses a safety risk for pedestrians who aren't able to walk along it if vehicles are parked there.  Thank you for your cooperation!

LOST & FOUND:  Lost and found items not claimed by families will be donated to a charitable organization next week.  All the items are out on tables for parents/guardians/students to check for lost items!

EDUCATION ENHANCEMENT AGREEMENT:  Our Saanich School District is seeking feedback from students, parents/guardians, community, and school district staff to form the development of our third Enhancement Agreement. This survey will be used to gather information that will help to guide our planning. A link to a short survey is below and your feedback is greatly appreciated:  EA Survey - click here

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR FALL  2018:  Takes place at the Saanich School Board Office, 2125 Keating Cross Road.

MAPLE SYRUP FUNDRAISER:  Joyeux Février!!  The Saanich Chapter of Canadian Parents for French is holding a sweet fundraiser to help support French learning in Saanich schools.  This is your chance to get your hands on some PURE MAPLE SYRUP, fresh from Québec!  Individual 540mL cans of syrup can be purchased for $10 each, or buy a flat of 8 cans (1 gallon total) for $75 (tax and shipping included). Maple syrup lollipops are also available for $2 each, or buy 6 lollipops for $8.  All profits will be used to support French learning at our Saanich schools, for example through field trips, guest presenters, French theatre, French magazine subscriptions for schools, summer activities, French books for school libraries, monetary gifts for school French departments, Bonjour/Bonne Nuit reading programs, French radio shows, French karate workshops, French cooking classes, French improv workshops, French debate workshops, the K-12 Gift Celebration, French film festivals, etc. With more funding, we can offer more exciting events and services for children in School District 63.  Build your very own syrup stash well ahead of camping season by printing off the attached order form and returning it completed (with payment by cheque) to the CPF Syrup box at the school office. The syrup and lollipops will be delivered to the school during the week of April 1st. Then, my friends, it's crêpe time!  Thanks so much!  Cedar Payne, Keating CPF Rep
