Dear Keating Families,
This is a bittersweet goodbye for Mme Heron. I look forward to the new challenges that lie ahead, but as I look forward, I also look back on my 13 years at Keating with a deep sense of gratitude. I am thankful for the care, support and trust that I have been afforded as your school Principal.
Thomas Sergiovanni, author and Lillian Radford Professor of Education and Administration at Trinity University in San Antonio states that "community building must become the heart of any school improvement effort," and I must thank each and every one of you for sharing this value with me for Keating kids. Every time you volunteered in your child's class, joined us for a Royals Hockey game or at the annual family dance, participated in our Family Read-in/Math mornings or school wide runs, etc. you helped build and improve our community. I wish you all continued success and growth.
Have a wonderful summer filled with family time and sunshine!
Merci et au revoir,
Mme Mary Lynn Heron
