KHASA (The Keating PAC) would like to extend an invitation to all Keating parents & guardians to attend this year's Annual General Meeting on Monday, May 27th at 6:30 PM in the Learning Resource Centre. Have a say in where your fundraising contributions go and vote on the 2019/2020 KHASA budget, find out what volunteer positions need filling, hear updates from School Principal Shelley Hardcastle and learn about some of the exciting KHASA plans for next year!  Lastly, have you been wondering how much money was raised at the Spring Fair? We will announce the total at the AGM and discuss where these funds will go. We hope to see you there!

You are also invited to attend the pre- Annual General Meeting at 6 pm where we will have a brief presentation about our upcoming participation in the CRD sponsered Ready Set Roll program. The active school travel planning program examines infrastructure, behaviour, enforcement and educational needs both on school grounds and surrounding neighbourhoods while also tackling traffic safety issues, air pollution and climate change. The success of the program relies on a coordinated and systematic approach to working with multiple stakeholders, including parents, students, school administration, school boards, municipal transportation planners and engineers, public health agencies and local law enforcement.  Keating has been lucky to be one of the five schools chosen for this program.  Please consider attending this information meeting and/or completing the following Parent Survey to support this important project.

Ready Step Roll: Active School Travel Planning 2019-20 program. The program encourages and enables students and their families to walk, bike, or roll to and from school more often. We want to know how your kids travel, their favourite routes and what street improvements you want to make it easier to walk or bike. The on-line survey is available until Friday, May 31 at https://surveys.crd.bc.ca/school-travel.survey It will take less than 10 minutes to do.
