Hi Keating Cougars RVM Kids' Run Team!Thank you so much for registering to run with us this year at the Royal Victoria Marathon Kids' Run. We're super excited to see the kids get out there and enjoy the run on Saturday morning.This email is to give you details on meeting up before the event and some reminders about the event itself.Run location: Willows Park, Beach Drive, Oak BayDay: Saturday October 7th.Rendezvous time: 9:45am - 30 minutes before the start of the run. Plenty of time for warm up and the inevitable pre-run pit stop.Rendezvous point: The far west corner of the park (i.e., near Beach Drive and the entrance to the car park), just by the big rhododendron bushes hereRoute: The 1km route consists of a 500m out-and-back along Esplanade, starting from and finishing at the east corner of Willows Park.What to wear: comfortable running clothes, a hoodie if it's chilly - and of course sneakers/runners. We are hoping to be able to bring the Keating Cougars running vests worn at the x-country and track-meet events, but these can be donned over the top of your own t-shirts. Please make sure these vests get returned at the end of the race - we will have someone collecting them at the finish line.Your run package: if you registered before September 29th, your run package(s) will be coming home from school with your child; if you registered after Sept. 29th, you'll need to pick run packages up at the Victoria Conference Centre between 12pm and 6pm on Friday October 6th.See you Saturday!!!
