Dear kindergarten parents/guardians,
As mentioned in our school wide announcement which I hope you received in your e-mail inboxes or saw on the school’s website, there are changes to the kindergarten startup schedule that mirror the changes for the start of the rest of K-12 schooling in B.C.
We will send out a more specific update next week, but as with other grades, the schedule for startup has been delayed by 2 days. Kindergarteners were to attend the first day of their gradual entry schedule (sent to you at the end of the last school year) on Wednesday, September 9th. The new start day for gradual entry is now Friday the 11th. The complete schedule is as follows:
Gradual entry on Friday the 11th, Monday the 14th,
and Tuesday the 15th.
Partial days (8:40-1:00) on Wednesday the 16th and Thursday the 17th.
First full day of kindergarten (8:40-2:48) on Friday the 18th.
As stated at the beginning of this communication, please adjust the schedule that you were provided in June by moving the start date back by 2 days. This will hopefully allow you to plan should you need to make arrangements for child care or transportation. Again, we will work to send out adjusted schedules next week but they should only confirm what is detailed above.
We look forward to seeing our new kindergarteners beginning on Friday the 11th of September.
