Hello all,
A quick note to say that it was a great day today as we observed Orange Shirt Day. I really appreciated all of the learning that teachers planned in the lead up and was impressed by the conversations that I was able to join in classrooms. We know that this learning is not something that happens only on one day but is important to weave through our entire year, and I am certain that we are well on our way in this respect.
Please be reminded that we have Terry Fox Runs scheduled over the next 2 days (spread out on our schedule to allow for physical distancing and maintaining cohorts). Please ensure that kids have their water bottles, are dressed to run in what may be warm weather on their day, and if possible bring in their toonies for Terry which will be collected in a COVID sensitive manner.
