Another bit of good news as we head into our weekend.
You will likely be seeing news in various outlets of Isla Verhagen's success in a recent national writing competition. Isla placed second nationally for her poem on The Meaning of Home. In addition to some prizes for herself and her classmates, Isla's success in this competition earned the local branch of Habitat for Humanity a $10 000 donation. Thank you to Mme. Drolet for supporting her students in this writing activity, and congratulations to Isla and her classmates for their great writing.
Thank you to those who participated in the process of updating your child(ren)'s information in response to the letter sent out at the start of this week. If you have yet to do so or did not receive a letter, please do not worry about proceeding as some necessary improvements to the system have become evident and some changes will be made by the district before trying for a new "rollout" in the fall. Thanks to all who spent some time on this, and apologies for any confusion.
