A nice end to our week as we got reacquainted with the sun and blue sky.

Thank you to all for good communication from home when kids are absent.  It is a big help for current procedure that families are letting us know when absences are due to “illness” or “other.”  Again, we do not need to know more than that.  Please remember to send this information to teachers and keating_attendance@saanichschools.ca

Thank you as well as there has been a notable change at pickup time as most parents are waiting at the perimeter of the grounds and helping us to avoid crowding near the doorways.  As previously communicated, we understand that parents of our kindergarten and possibly grade 1 students may need to move towards their kids’ exit doors just before dismissal time.  Having a meeting point away from the building to reduce crowding is appreciated.

A final thank you to all who have been so understanding about the need to keep sick ones home or to come pick up children who develop symptoms during the day.  We know that this can be a strain on families, but we also know that we all understand that we are doing our part and helping to keep the community healthy.

Again, it has been so good to have the kids with us these past weeks.  There have been a lot of smiles, laughs, and great connections despite the challenges of the current times.

Have a great, and safe weekend.
