A few notes about Remembrance Day at Keating this year:
- We will do our best to record the assembly and post a link later in the day so that all in our community who wish to watch, may. The recording will be of secondary priority to ensuring that the classes in the building will be able to view live, so there is a chance that this may not work out, but we will try to record and share.
- Ms. Tutte has worked very hard to assemble and display the photos sent to the school of family members who have served or continue to serve in the armed forces. All are welcome outside of instructional time to come and look at the display in the library windows near the gagaball pits. We heard that some found this to be a welcome activity on Remembrance Day last year as some of the regular ceremonies did not proceed, or some in our community preferred a way to observe/honour the day away from bigger crowds.
- Poppies will be distributed to students tomorrow. If you wish to send in a donation with your child, we are collecting in the classrooms/school.
